The Bronze is a breed of domestic turkey. The name refers to its plumage, which bears an iridescent bronze-like sheen.

The Bronze turkey is acclaimed as one of the best tasting turkeys around, with a mist rich flavor and finely grained meat. Because our turkeys are raised outdoors and allowed to grow at their own pace maturing slowly, the taste from our birds is of a more moist succulent nature. The other aspect to this unique taste is that the turkeys are fed 100 percent chemical free organic mix. We believe that this natural process has a really positive impact on its taste, tenderness and meat quality.

Cooking Tip: It is not necessary to remove he black pin feather stubs found on bronze turkeys, these are also found on white turkeys but are harder to see. They will simply burn off when cooking.
Cooking Tip: Turn the turkey upside down half way through the cooking times to allow all those lovely juices to filter back into the turkey breast.

Cooking Tips: Try putting tin foil in the leg so they do not get over cooked- remember the tin foil should be shiny side out.
